1 Win, 1 Loss, 1 DQ!

Our lone win came by Split decision as Josh Thomas won agianst Phil from Don Gladfelter's gym in York, PA.  The fight was very close and was made even closer when the referee ruled an obvious illegal catch of one of Josh's kicks which resulted in Josh being tossed to the floor a knock down, which cost Josh a point on all three judges scorecards.

Jamie Trusa, the first person ever to kick box from Grant's Martail Arts and the first person ever to win a fight at Grant's Martial Arts, is now the first person ever to get disqualified in a fight from Grant's Martial Arts.  Jamie boxed, not kick boxed undefeated (2-0) Pat Miller from Chris Corley's Gym.  In the first round Jamie landed a hard right hand on Corley's jaw and Corely quickly ducked and popped back up and Jamie landed another very hard punch!  The judge held the fight and deducted a point off of Jamie for hitting a man when he was down.  The judge also waived off the knock down in effect costing Jamie 2 points!  Corely was given up to 5 minutes to regroup and recover.  When the match resumed, Jamie picked up right where he left off, crushing Corely with hard punch after hard punch when Corely's headgear popped off and  Jamie kept punching, he was disqualified.

Kris Lindsey lost his first fight as an amateur kick boxer.  This was actually his first fight under international rules where kicks are allowed to the legs of the apponent.  Kris was given a standing 8 count in the first round and the fight was stopped half way through the second round.  His record now stands at 2-1-1 and his apponent, Jason Wright of Jack's Gym, moves to 5-0.
