February 2010

February 27, 2010 -- Mifflin County Classic -- 4 Stdutents braved the blizzard to dominate the Mifflin County Classic!
Amanda Krashnak 3rd weapons, 3rd forms, 2nd fighting
Adam Jacobosky 1st weapons, 3rd forms, 3rd fighting
Alexis Krashnak 2nd weapons, 2nd forms, 1st fighting

February 20, 2010 -- Plymouth, PA -- Tyler Austra of GMA moved his amateur kickboxing record to 4-0 when he out pointed Pete Hipple. This was a leg kick match up!



February 13, 2010 -- Joerg's Karate, Mechanicsburg -- Hunter Dragon, Hunter Austra and August Palchanis all competed in Joerg's Forms Challenge.  Dragon took 2 second places, Austra took 2 first places and Palchanis took 2 first places.
January 2010

January 29, 2010 -- Hamburg Field House -- Donny Thrash and Shane Smith competed in the UGC-Challenge.  There was no one in the under 18 group so they opted to compete with the 18+ group.  Despite the move up in division, Donny managed 3rd place in the GI Division! Kris Lindsey also fought Erik Spring in a 4 round Leg Kick Boxing match.  Kris lost a unanimous decision in front of the pro-spring crowd.  Many people commented after the fight that they thought Kris won every single round!  Kris was only hit maybe 10 times over the course of 4 rounds!  Great job Kris!  You never know what a fight looks like from where the judges are sitting.
January 9, 2010 -- Valley Forge Convention Center -- NAFMA Jr Nationals -- Noah Rakowski competed in the first event of 2010 and did quite well for himself.  2nd Place in Weapons, 2nd Place in Forms and 1st Place in fighting!  Come see Noah compete at the UGC Grappling Challenge on January 30th at the Hamburg Field House!
