Grant's Martial Arts!

GMA "Fighting Fit Kid Program" Launched For National Physical Fitness And Sports Month

Grant's Martial Arts teams up with the President's Challenge to Get Active and Fit in May May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month.

This year, Grant's Martial Arts joins the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports to challenge Americans to get moving for health and to get active and fit during the month of May.

Grant's Martial Arts has launched a special rewards based program for children called the GMA Fit Kid Program. Children earn points for being active and are rewarded with special GMA Fit Kid patches and t-shirts.

According to Melissa Johnson, executive director of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, which started National Physical Activity and Sports Month in 1983, "Americans of all ages need to incorporate more movement in their daily lives. Twenty minutes of vigorous physical activity three times a week, such as martial arts, have added health benefits." Johnson says.

Johnson says, "We are fortunate to have a President who 'walks the talk.' For those who say they have no time to be active, we answer that the man who is arguably the world's busiest person understands how important it is to move for health and makes time for physical activity in his day."
