Master Grant retires for the "Karate Tournament Promotion" business. In 2008 we will not be holding any "Karate Style" open tournaments.  Master Grant has decided to focus solely on kickboxing promotions in '08 including turning the events into a television show and doing a big show in Atlantic City on Memorial Day Weekend. December 8th Kickboxing Show at GMA to air on Television? Grant's Martial Arts Inc. and Ackourey Productions have teamed up to turn the kickboxing event on December 8th into a TV show!  Who knows when and if it will air but it will be produced and marketed to local and national networks.  More than ever we need your support to make this event happen.  We need spectators, fighters, volunteers and sponsors!  Help us!  When the television cameras pan out over the crowd, we want the house to be packed!  Get your tickets now! Commercial Kickboxing 10/20/07   Grant's Martial Art student Kris Lindsey won his rematch this weekend against Allentowns Nate Boyer.  Nate and Kris had fought at Grant's Martial Arts in Plymouth on September 8th and Nate won a majority decision in a close hard fought match up between two 153 pound teenagers.  The rematch was at Althouse Karate in Fleetwood, PA with Kris coming out on top this time in an international rules match up.  International rules allow you to kick the inside and outside of the legs in addition to the regular kickboxing.  These two fighters will battle it out one more time at Grant's Martial Arts on December 8th, this time in a Muay Thai match up which alows you to knee to the body during the clinch.  The winner of this scheduled 4 rounder will be named the USKA Welterweight Muay Thai Champion!  Good Luck Kris! Double Main Event Announced for December 8th Kickboxing Show! The December Kickboxing Card in Plymouth will feature a double main event!  In the first half of the main event, Mt. Top's Kevin Hollick will put his undefeated record on the line against Chris Young of Harrisburg.  Chris is 15-6 in kickboxing and boxing.  In Kevin's last fight he won a unanimous decision over Mike Raetano of Jack's Gym in Delware.  Chris KO'd Josh Thomas of Wilkes-Barre in the second Round.  In the second half of the main event Kris Lindsey of Grant's Martial Arts will battle Nate Boyer of Althouse karate.  These guys have fought twice before and have each won one.  This match will be Thai rules which allows knees to the body!
