Livonia, NY: John Bonner traveled out of state for the first time to win Gold. At the Tatsu-Do Invitational tournament in Livonia, NY, John dominated the Jr. Black Belt weapons and forms divisions, winning 1st place in both events and then going on to win the grand championships in both events! John was asked to return next year to defend his championships! The win gave John 3 grand championships awards already this year! John was eliminated in the first round of sparring by a 3-2 score to the eventual Gold Medal winner. John has his sites set on 3 golds and 3 grand championships next year!
Fleetwood, PA:
Our own "Iron" Jamie Trusa made his Thai boxing debut with a split decison loss to 9-1 Jason Wright of Jack's Gym. Jamie was in the fight right up untill the end. Jamie fought hard in the loss and made us all proud!
Fleetwood, PA: Our own "Two time USKA champion" Kris Lindsey knocked out undefeated Justin Moser of Pittsburgh in the second round to move his record to 8-2-1. This was a "Leg Kick" match up and Kris said he was getting hit very hard when he came back and landed a round house kick to Moser's chin and followed up with a straight right hand that put Moser out for the count!
